The next-generation Škoda Kodiaq is set to make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled to commence on January 17, 2025, in New Delhi.
The new Kodiaq is built on the updated MQB-EVO platform, resulting in a larger and more spacious SUV compared to its predecessor. The increased dimensions provide enhanced cabin space and additional boot capacity, catering to the needs of Indian families seeking comfort and practicality.
Inside, the SUV is equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and the innovative Smart Dial setup, offering a modern and user-friendly interface for drivers and passengers. The exterior design has also been refreshed, featuring a more robust and contemporary appearance.

Under the hood, the India-spec Kodiaq will continue with the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 190 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and comes with an all-wheel-drive system, ensuring a dynamic and responsive driving experience.
Škoda Auto India plans to launch the new Kodiaq in the third quarter of 2025. Unlike the current model, which is imported as a completely built unit (CBU), the new Kodiaq will be locally assembled, potentially resulting in a more competitive pricing structure.
In addition to the Kodiaq, Škoda is expected to showcase other models at the expo, including the recently launched Kylaq subcompact SUV and the performance-oriented Octavia RS. The Kylaq, available in four trims and powered by a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, has already garnered significant attention in the Indian market. The Octavia RS, equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI turbo petrol engine producing 265 bhp, will be showcased to gauge customer feedback, although there are currently no confirmed plans for its launch in India.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is anticipated to be a significant event for the Indian automotive industry, with over 34 automakers participating and showcasing their latest models and innovations. Škoda’s lineup, particularly the new Kodiaq, is expected to attract considerable interest from both consumers and industry experts.
